June 6th, Sunday One Service Sunday


Sunday, June 6, 2010 will be a special “One Service Sunday” and Congregational Meeting. More information to follow about the content of the meeting—but please mark your calendar to attend this special event! Worship takes place at 10am!
June 7th, Monday Transfer the Blessings


Teresa Fairow, Planned Giving Coordinator for the English District will leading a workshop called Transfer the Blessings on Monday June 7 at 7PM. The workshop is geared especially for people at or nearing retirement age, but all are welcome. In the workshop Teresa will talk to the group about:

• Thoughtfully and carefully completing a Lifetime Plan for Giving

• Passing on gifts God has entrusted to our family and heirs as a blessing and the many creative ways to do that for the benefit of all

• Accomplishing God’s plan for our lives according to HIS purposes

You’ll have a chance to meet Teresa at the congregational meeting on June 6. She’s a dynamic and engaging individual who is committed to helping people learn and explore all the options for lifetime giving.

Red Cross Bloodmobile will be here at FLC on President’s Day. Monday, April 19, 2010 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.

There is an ongoing urgent need for blood. Every 2 seconds is how often someone in America needs blood! Please consider becoming a blood donor. Blood cannot be manufactured; it takes you and me to help meet the demand for blood.

ST. LUKE LUTHERAN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION 13th Annual Benefit Golf Outing 
Just imagine: a warm sunny day...on the links... It’s the ST. LUKE LUTHERAN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION 13th Annual Benefit Golf Outing – Wed., June 23. 2010. Registration 9am, outing begins at 10am at The Fairways at Arrowhead in North Canton. $99 per player. Includes golf, cart, tee-off gifts, prizes, refreshments (all day), light lunch, and post-play buffet dinner in the dining room. Benefits St. Luke Annual Appeal which provides financial support to St. Luke residents who can no longer afford to pay for their own care. 144 golfers and 54 hole sponsors needed. Sponsorship and golfer registration forms are on the Mission Tower, or contact Ron Kyle, 330-666-5725, princequillo@msn.com.
