3.  How much Bible exposure will my child have?
Your child will be involved in hearing, seeing, acting and singing Bible related items each day they are in our school.  These activities are all in an age appropriate setting, where your child can understand the key messages.

4.  Is your program play or acadmic based?
Here at FLP, we believe in educating the whole child.  We not only focus on their spiritual development, but on their large and fine motor development, academic skills, writing and listening skills, participation and individual work, and their socialization skills.  So each child gets to be in a structured Christian environment, that has ample time for academic and social practices.

5.  Are your staff degreed?
All of our lead classroom teachers have a degree in Early childhood or a related field.  The assistants may also possess a degree, but desire to assist in the room, rather than to lead.  All staff is required to have training in First Aid, Comminicable disease, prevention in child abuse and CPR.

6.  Is your building secure?
Yes, each of the main doors to the church are locked and on an access system.. Any family desiring to have a key fob to gain entry may do so.  Any visitor will buzz in, identifying one self and will be escorted to the proper location.

7.  What is your discipline policy?
We feel modeling correct and desirerable behavior along with redirection works very well at the preschool level.  The teachers work hard at classroom management, to help further the elimination of unwanted behaviors.  However, if a problem arises, the child is corrected in a firm, loving manor and is asked to apologize appropriately.  The teachers and assistants closely monitor the child, and if the problem persists, the director is notified.  Rarely, do preschool children get expelled, but each case is looked at individually.

8.  What are the ratio’s in your classrooms?
We exceed the state guidelines on this policy.  For 3’s 1:7 (state 1:12) for 4’s and 5’s 1:8 (state 1:14).  Our 2’s are with an adult parent or care giver, so ratio’s do not apply.

9.  Do you take field trips?
Yes, most classes take 4 trips per year.  We like to stay local and try for free or under $5.00.  Our field trips usually coincide with our monthly themes and topics.

What is your policy about parent participation?
We have an open door policy at all times and parents are always welcome in our room.  We ask parents to volunteer for a number of activities through out the year, but it is not mandatory.  We don’t mind whne siblings are with parents either, as long as your keeping an eye on them.
