The primary function of the Administration Team is to administer all Called Staff and Lay Staff personnel issues.

Team Vision:
To provide the structure and resources that support and nurture the staff in their service to Fairlawn Lutheran Church while utilizing their gifts and abilities to equip the body of Christ.

Goals:
1. To provide guidance for the team leads on salary increases.
2. To review existing job descriptions and, if necessary, to assist the team leads in the development of new job descriptions.
3. To develop performance appraisal guidelines and establish a process for team leads to conduct appraisals.
4. To review the benefits of salaried employees.

The responsibilities of the Administration Team are:
 • Recommend and manage an annual operating budget for all Called and Lay Staff personnel including salaries, benefits, allowances and office operating expenses. The office operating expenses include items such as, but not limited to, supplies, postage, computers, websites, mailings, duplication costs, phone bills etc.
 • Investigate comparable compensation ranges from external sources to assist in developing fair salaries and benefits for all Called and Lay Staff members.
 • Assist the Teams who supervise Called and Lay Staff personnel to establish and update job descriptions.
 • Provide evaluation guidelines to Teams who supervise Called and Lay Staff personnel and assist in their annual evaluation review process when requested.
 • Recommend the hiring of Lay Staff included in the administrative area.
 • Conduct and provide annual performance evaluations for the Staff personnel serving the administrative functions.
 • Manage all the documentation required for the hiring, disciplining and dismissing of all Lay Staff.
 • Manage all the documentation required for salaries, benefits and evaluations for the Called and Lay Staff.
 • Develop and maintain an employee handbook as a basis for answering personnel questions and resolving issues.
