We share our faith in word and deed with everyone.

The primary function of the Evangelism Team is to enable the members of Fairlawn Lutheran Church to reach out to people in our immediate area and throughout the world and show the love of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by what we say and do.

Team Vision:
Fairlawn Lutheran Church is a growing and dynamic Christian community which is eager to share the Gospel with everyone through mission in the world.

Evangelism Team:
Although the Evangelism Team consists of six elected members, there are many, many more from the congregation who serve voluntarily on/in ministries, groups and committees like the Human Care Ministry, Parish Arts Committee, Braille Ministry and Brown Baggers, to name a few. Though separate groups with different activities, we share the same vision. Examples of some of the activities sponsored by our combined membership include:
1. On-site community bridge events like the Easter Egg Hunt, July 4th Popcorn Social and Oktober Fest.
2. Support various, local Christian organizations such as Open-M, Akron Pregnancy Services, Habitat for Humanity, Haven of Rest Ministries and St. Luke Lutheran Community-Portage Lakes, to name a few.
3. Support nation-wide and world-wide Christian relief organizations such as LCMS World Relief/Human Care and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
4. Support Lutheran Bible Translators – Paul and Ali Federwitz, members of FLC serving in Ghana.
5. On-site Braille Ministry.
6. Parish Arts Series- series of concerts from September to May the following year open to the public and usually free admission; professional musicians and local talent; most are Christian themes and music.
7. Support local, district and synod missions.
8. Brown Baggers.
