Local Church Achieves Accreditation
| LOCAL CHURCH ACHIEVES ACCREDITATION Fairlawn Lutheran Preschool located at 3415 W. Market St. in Fairlawn has successfully earned the distinction of National Lutheran Schools Accreditation. Sixth year preschool Director, Karla McDivitt received the NLSA certificate on Sunday, September 14, 2008 during their churches’ services. All staff, board members, families of the congregation and preschool along with the accreditation team and site visit members were also in attendance. NLSA is a rigorous national accrediting process designed to evaluate schools based on their unique purpose as a Lutheran school. It helps schools evaluate not only the quality of the academics and programs, but also most importantly the spiritual dimension of the school. This unique ‘mark of excellence’ is nationally recognized by other private, public and regional school-accrediting agencies. Fairlawn Lutheran Preschool will continue to provide the community with quality Christian education while engaging in improvements for future ministry growth such as starting a Kindergarten. Fairlawn is among 77 other preschools to receive this high honor in The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. |
