The Reverend Thomas A. Zucconi was installed as Senior Pastor of Fairlawn Lutheran Church at a festival worship service on Sunday, January 13th at 4:00 PM.

The President/Bishop of the English District, LCMS, the Reverend David P. Stechholz delivered the message and performed the installation. Area LCMS Pastors participated including Pastor Larry Leuthaeuser, Interim Pastor of FLC, Pastor Charles Lentner, Pastor Emeritus of FLC, and Pastor Robert Tauscher, Akron area English District Circuit Counselor and Pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church. Fairlawn’s music groups including the Senior Choir, the Jubilee Bell Choir, and the Covenant Praise Band provided music.

The worship service included communion and the theme or focus of the day was the Baptism of Jesus. Just as baptism occurred at the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, baptism for us is the beginning of our salvation. It’s a significant day for our long-waited new Pastor to be installed.

In addition to his immediate family, both Pastor Tom’s and Jennifer’s parents were in attendance.
