The primary function of the Stewardship Team is to educate, encourage and empower our Christian membership to discover and utilize their God-given spiritual gifts (including their time and talent) and material gifts (including their financial resources) resulting in active participation in and support of the congregational opportunities to serve the Lord and fulfill His mission for the church.

Team Vision:
Our Christian community is utilizing their gifts, abilities and interests to become involved in Christ-like service.

Goals:
1. Identify all members potential for service.
2. Support and enhance church ministries/programs.
3. Link congregation members to ministries/programs.

1. The Stewardship Team has the following basic objectives:
 • Talent: Assist members in identifying their God-given spiritual gifts.
 • Time: Encourage each member to find and commit time to utilize those gifts.
 • Treasure: Encourage each member to see their financial resources as a God-given gift and use those resources gratefully in God's service.

2. The Stewardship Team will perform the following specific responsibilities to achieve these objectives:  • Contact new members to assess their skills and interests for the purpose of assimilating them into the life of the congregation.
 • Assemble information on all church members' skills and interests.
 • Assist teams in obtaining volunteers by matching peoples' interests with existing team needs.
 • Provide and publicize current information on Congregational ministry opportunities to encourage member participation through activities such as:
 • Lay Ministry Fair, newsletter articles, directories, computerized databases, and other methods.
 • Appoint a Nominating Committee to seek and obtain candidates for new positions as required, including officers and teams. (The Nominating Committee will use the procedure for Elections outlined in Section 5 of the By-laws).
 • Identify, promote and staff new support groups (as needed) to help meet congregational needs.
 • Encourage members to give God their best and to give it first.
 • Approve and coordinate all financial stewardship efforts including fund raising events and other income generating activities such annual pledging, etc.
