PLAN YOUR VISIT!

  • What to Expect

At Fairlawn Lutheran, we embrace people and walk with them in a relationship with Christ. Here you'll find friends to encourage you as we worship, learn about God and His plan for us, and serve our community together.

Fairlawn Lutheran has services in person Saturdays at 4pm and in person Sundays at 10am.  On Sundays we also livestream services on YouTube and Facebook.

The Traditional Saturday service has a smaller, more casual feel. It's great for those with Sunday commitments and those who prefer a service later in the day.

The Sunday service is held in the sanctuary, with alternating Traditional and Contemporary services. The only difference between the traditional and contemporary services is the music. The traditional services feature our organ or piano. The contemporary service is led by our worship team and features guitar, keyboard, drums and vocalists playing contemporary worship music. All services feature prayers, music, Bible readings, a sermon, offering and communion.

Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday at Fairlawn Lutheran in the glad confidence that our Lord Jesus, as His word says, gives not only bread and wine, but also His true Body and Blood for us to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sins. Our Lord invites to His table those who, repenting of their sins, believe His word that He is really present for our forgiveness. All baptized believers who hold this confession, and seek to live in Christ’s forgiveness with each other, are invited to receive His Sacrament.

Children and those who are unsure about the Lord’s Supper are invited to come forward to receive a blessing by crossing their arms over their chests. Pastors would be happy to answer questions about communion before or after the service.

  • Do I need to dress up?

Come as you are! Whatever you are comfortable in. You will see people in everything from suits and dresses to jeans and t-shirts.

  • Christian Education Hour

On Sundays (September-May) there are learning opportunities for all ages. We typically offer several different Bible studies for adults, Bible studies for youth in grades 7-8 and 9-12, and Sunday School for children age 3 (potty trained) to grade 6. Children younger than three are welcome in the nursery (with a parent) or may accompany a parent at an adult Bible study. More information can be found in the link above or in the church lobby!

  • Getting here

You can enter the Fairlawn Lutheran parking lot from Smith Road or from Market Street - you will see LED signs at each entrance. The church is immediately west of Summit Mall.  You can drop guests off at the front door using the circular drive closest to Market Street. Handicap parking is available next to the front doors and in the parking lot, and we have an elevator.
